Another man has been arrested by the National Traffic Police (NTP) in Musina during Operation Bafihlile after allegedly attempting to bribe officers with R130.
The suspect was reportedly stopped while transporting passengers in a panel van that was found to be unlicensed and unroadworthy.
Police officers say the man attempted to offer a “cold drink” in exchange for leniency, but was immediately arrested by officers on scene.
He has since been detained at Musina SAPS and is facing charges of bribery as well as multiple traffic-related offences.
The National Traffic Police says enforcement operations will continue, adding that bribery and corruption will not be tolerated during road safety campaigns.
