At around 10h50 on Sunday morning 22 July 2018, Netcare 911 dispatched vehicles to a house in the Monument area in Krugersdorp following a call for assistance.
Paramedics arrived to find a man lying in the garden next to a ladder, reports from the scene indicate that the man had fallen several hours before while working on the roof.
The Advanced Life Support paramedic and the ambulance crew worked to stabilise the man and due to the very serious nature of the incident the Netcare 911 specialised helicopter ambulance was called to the scene to airlift the elderly man to specialist Trauma Unit in Johannesburg for the urgent care that he required.
