Three suspects aged between 25 and 40, are due to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, facing charges of dealing in drugs. Their arrests followed intelligence-driven operations conducted by the Provincial Drugs and Firearms Unit within the eThekwini District on Tuesday, 21 July 2026.
During the first operation, police conducted a sting operation in the Point area, which resulted in the arrest of two suspects who were found in possession of an assortment of narcotics, including rock cocaine, ecstasy, crystal meth, heroin and cocaine powder. The estimated street value of the recovered drugs is R211 000. Both suspects, aged between 30 and 40 years old, were charged with dealing in drugs.
In another operation conducted in Morningside at a shop on Florida Road, the Provincial Drugs and Firearms Team, working together with the Economic Infrastructure Task Team, arrested a 25-year-old suspect for dealing in cannabis. A search of the shop revealed a substantial amount of various types of cannabis in different packaging. Police proceeded to another shop in Umhlanga, where they seized more cannabis products. The suspect was subsequently charged with dealing in drugs.
All three suspects will appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, facing charges of dealing in drugs.
