Members of the Mooinooi SAPS Social Crime Prevention team, led by Sergeant Sello Mogafe, took their awareness campaign to a farm in Mooinooi in the North West Province on Tuesday, 21 July 2026. The team collaborated with the Deputy Junior Provincial Commissioner for Crime Detection from Michael Modisakeng Secondary School, Otlotleng Mpochane.
More than 60 farm workers were educated about the dangers of crossing the N4 highway at prohibited points. The members further highlighted the risks associated with hitchhiking, as numerous criminal cases linked to this practice continue to be reported.
The Junior Deputy Commissioner, Otlotleng Mpochane used the opportunity to engage with attendees on issues surrounding Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (#GBVF), encouraging community members to play an active role in preventing these crimes and promoting safer communities
