PVES members responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a sedan and a truck.
Upon arrival, the driver and passenger of the sedan were assessed and, remarkably, neither had sustained any obvious serious injuries. A passing Netcare Response Vehicle (RV) stopped to assist with the patient assessment.
A short while later, the passenger began complaining of neck and shoulder pain. A Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) ambulance arrived on scene and transported the P3 patient to the nearest medical facility for further evaluation and precautionary assessment.
Due to the hazardous nature of the scene, PVES members assisted National Traffic with traffic management until the roadway was made safe and the incident was cleared.
