A 69-year-old man has been arrested by Ngqeleni Vispol members during an operation that was conducted at Mpoza locality in Ngqeleni during the early hours of today, 21 September 2018 at about 02h00. Members were acting on a tip-off that led to the arrest of the suspect after having been found at his homestead in possession of an unlicensed firearm a 9mm pistol with one round of ammunition. He will appear before court in Ngqeleni today, 21 September 2018, on charges of possession of unlicensed firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
The Acting Cluster Commander, Brigadier Nomawethu Makonza applauded members and said “These are good results of working together with our communities hence it is important for us to build good relations with them. Let’s profile him and link that firearm.”
