In an integrated effort to address the lucrative counterfeit goods market, Mitchells Plain police, in conjunction with two brand holders conducted an operation at a clothing store in Town Centre Mitchells Plain early this morning. This operation resulted in the seizure of counterfeit clothing with an estimated value of R 1103775-00. The 25-year-old shopkeeper is under investigation for selling counterfeit goods. Businesses dealing in fake and counterfeit apparel and goods can expect a visit by SAPS as part of our clampdown on all aspects of crime during this festive period.
