EASTERN CAPE – A 42-year-old, alleged drug dealer and his 35-year-old girlfriend are expected to appear in the King Williams Magistrates’ Court this morning after they were arrested for dealing in drugs on Saturday, 12 September 2020.
They were arrested by the East London Hawks’ South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau (SANEB) assisted by the King Williams Town (K9) Dog Unit during a search and seizure operation conducted on Saturday morning.
The team acted on information regarding a suspect who was reportedly dealing in drugs at his premises on Leapold Street King Williams Town. The search resulted in the seizure of 20 plastic sachets containing 98 grams of Methamphetamine (Tik) valued at the approximate amount R24 500-00 uncovered at the said premises.
