A coordinated response by KZNVIP, FIDELITY and SAPS led to the successful recovery of a hijacked vehicle in Mount Moriah late on Thursday night, 20 November 2025.
At 22h15 PM, KZNVIP Control Centre received information regarding a hijacking that occurred in KwaMashu. The hijacked vehicle was reported to be tracking in the Mount Moriah area. KZNVIP Response Officers were immediately dispatched.
Upon arrival, KZNVIP Response Officers confirmed that the Blue Renault Triber had been located at the provided coordinates. The vehicle was found abandoned and an unconfirmed number of suspects had stripped sections of the vehicle while searching for the tracking unit.
The vehicle was removed from scene for further processing.
