Through the assistance of the chopper, the Search and Rescue team, consisting of members from both public and private sector, were successful in their endeavour.
The two were then escorted to private accommodation, so that they could rest where they had booked in.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga Major General (Dr) Zeph Mkhwanazi commended the team members as both Police and their counterparts from various private organizations worked with diligence to ensure that the tourists are found alive. “We want to thank all stakeholders for displaying unity in the common coarse and for them, having to put together resources, thereby tracing the two tourists, shows that working together we can achieve more, even in the fight against crime.
