The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Edenvale precinct Officers, arrested five (5) male drivers aged between twenty-five (25) and forty-five (45) for driving under the influence of alcohol.
During roadblocks conducted in the areas, Officers stopped the motorists and conducted breathalyser tests. All tested over the legal alcohol limit.
The suspects were taken for blood tests by a registered nurse and detained at Edenvale and Sebenza Police Stations. They are expected to appear before the Kempton Park and Edenvale Magistrate’s Courts soon.
