At around 13:45, members were executing a search warrant at an address on Dieman Road, Grassy Park. They found 12 bottles of pain and flu syrups. A 26-year-old male suspect was arrested for contravention of the Medicines and Related Substances Act, alongside a 40-year-old male who was found with 34 dagga edibles. The 40-year-old suspect was charged for dealing in dagga.
Both suspects will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court.
Meanwhile, members of Operation Shanela II deployed in Ravensmead arrested a 22-year-old male suspect for dealing in drugs during an intelligence-driven operation in the area. The suspect was caught with 582 dagga cigarettes at a house on 5th Avenue, Ravensmead. The police then moved to another address on Hermas Road, Ravensmead, where they found a 39-year-old male with four full mandrax tablets.
Both suspects will appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court. drug-related offences yesterday (Wednesday, 10 December 2025).
