BLOEMFONTEIN – Safer Festive Season foot beat and stop-and-search activities by members of Public Order Police Unit in Bloemfontein Central Business District continue to bear good results. Three (3) employees at Golden Lee Supermarket were arrested yesterday, Monday 29 December 2025, after being found in possession and selling suspected dependence – producing substances.
Operators kept observation over movements in Bastion Plain area, and at about 11:00, moved in the identified target building with a search and seizure warrant. An orderly search was conducted accordingly, and the police found 76 small; and 23 medium-sized bankies containing Chrystal Meth. Seven (7) full Mandrax tablets were also seized.
Three male workers aged between 24 and 35 were warned and immediately placed under arrest. A case docket of Dealing in drugs was opened at Parkweg Police Station, and the suspects detained in police custody without any injuries.
The three suspects will appear in Bloemfontein Magistrate Court soon.
