A zero-tolerance approach and increased deployment of law enforcement secured a safe and secure environment for all inhabitants and visitors to the Northern Cape Province during the New Year celebrations.
The Northern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola, Deputy Provincial Commissioners, Provincial Heads, District Commissioners and Station Commanders led simultaneous operations across the five districts in the Northern Cape Province from 31 December 2025 until 2 January 2026.
A total of 292 perpetrators were arrested for crimes including, attempted murder, robbery, rape, burglary residential, and drug related offences.
These operations will continue unabated to squeeze the space for criminals and stamp the authority of the state.
