Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call at 03:32 (Friday) from a member of public reporting a vehicle theft.
The caller informed the Controller On Duty that his vehicle had been stolen while parked inside his yard in Hazelmere – KZN. Reaction Officers obtained GPS Co-Ordinates from the vehicle tracking company which indicated that the car was static a short distance from where it had been stolen.
On arrival, Officers recovered the white Toyota Etios Cross abandoned on the side of the road. A search of the surrounding area was conducted, but no suspects were located.
The dashboard and speedometer cluster had been stripped from the vehicle.
