A Businessman escaped injury during a targeted assassination in Trenance Park – KZN this afternoon (Wednesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the incident on a Link Road between Old and New Phase in Trenance Park – KZN. It was established that the victim had just left Trenance Park – KZN while driving a black Chevrolet bakkie when a black Toyota Etios sedan pulled up alongside his vehicle and the occupants opened fire. The registration number of the suspect vehicle could not be obtained.
Reaction Officers arrived on scene at approximately 21:35 and established that six (6) shots were fired at the victim’s vehicle. The driver, who was alone at the time, veered off the roadway into nearby bushes and fled the scene through the passenger-side door to escape further danger. The man did not sustain any injuries.
The suspects fled the scene, and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
