A white Citi Golf burst into flames on the R102 in the vicinity of Palmview, Phoenix – KZN today (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene after receiving multiple calls from passing motorists reporting the incident. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers found a white Citi Golf fully engulfed in flames.
Members of the public reported that the driver exited the vehicle as soon as the fire began in the front section of the car. He was not injured but was allegedly traumatised by the incident. He left the scene with his parents before the arrival of emergency services. The cause of the fire could not be established at the time
The Fire Department arrived on scene and successfully extinguished the blaze.
