A vehicle fire was reported on the R102 opposite the Nyaninga turnoff in Buffelsdale – KZN yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, 17/03/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered a Volkswagen Touareg engulfed in flames. It established that the driver noticed smoke emanating from the front of the vehicle. The driver stopped to investigate, however the vehicle suddenly burst into flames.
The exact cause of the fire could not be immediately established.
