A man selling plots of land was shot and killed while seated in the driver’s seat of a white Isuzu D-Max in Buffelsdraai – KZN this morning (Sunday, 14/06/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to Street 57002 at approximately 07:32 following reports of a shooting. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered the 50-year-old man with a single gunshot wound to the head. He showed no signs of life.
According to the deceased’s wife, her husband had received a telephone call earlier this morning from an individual interested in purchasing a plot of land. He left to meet the prospective buyer and was shot at the agreed location.
It was alleged that an unknown man travelling in an unidentified vehicle blocked the victim’s bakkie before firing a single shot and fleeing the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the murder suggest that the shooting may have been a targeted assassination
