A resident of Gauteng – Johannesburg has contacted Reaction Unit South Africa for assistance in locating an antique safe similar to the one pictured.
The safe was stolen from a house on Jungbhardur Road in Ottawa during the month of September 2018 while the homeowner was at her daughter’s home in Gauteng. A 40 inch flat screen TV and a fridge were also stolen during the break-in.
The safe is of sentimental value and was shipped to South Africa from India more than a 100 years ago by the complainants great grandfather. It was empty when it was stolen and the caller believes that it may be discarded by the suspects if they manage to open it.
