The police officers from the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit acted on information about drug dealing at a block of flats on West Street in Durban.
An operation was put in place yesterday and the team conducted a preliminary investigation. A successful takedown resulted in the arrest of the 42-year-old suspect after he was found in possession of 1001 capsules of heroin and 480 pieces of rock cocaine. The seized drugs have an estimated value of R71 000-00. The suspect is appearing before the Durban Magistrates’ Court today for possession and dealing in drugs.
