The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) members from region 4 in Centurion were doing patrols at R511 Road when they noticed a black Ford Mustang vehicle with no registration plates driving from a night club in high speed.
They tried to stop the vehicle but the driver did not stop, they then gave chase. The driver of the vehicle abondoned the vehicle in the bushes and fled on foot.
The officers searched the vehicle and found a firearm with an erased serial number. The vehicle was towed and it was later discovered that the vehicle had just been stolen at the night club. The suspect was not found.
In a separate incident, TMPD Tactical unit members recovered a polo vehicle which was reported stolen in Brooklyn, Pretoria East. The vehicle was found at an empty house in Lotus Gardens, west of Pretoria.
The same members also arrested a drunk driver at
Van der Hoff road in Hercules.
Well done to the TMPD members for their hard work and dedication.
