A white Isuzu bakkie with registration NJ 32477, was hijacked from Hazelmere – KZN a short while ago.
According to a tenant on the property, a Mozambican foreign national entered the yard with his van when two (2) males approached him. The tenant is uncertain whether the suspects were armed with firearms.
The assailants seized the vehicle along with the victim, identified as Lionel (surname unknown). Lionel (picture 1) is estimated to be in his 40s and is a self employed welder. The suspects then fled in the direction of Canelands – KZN with the victim in the vehicle.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) are currently (Friday, 21:42) searching for the victim & the bakkie.
