Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to a call of a fire at an informal settlement in Rajkumar, Tongaat – KZN this morning (Saturday, 05:56).
Upon arrival, Reaction Officers discovered a wood and iron structure in flames. Residents informed Officers that the home belonged to an individual who fled the area following an altercation in which he allegedly hacked another person. Community members have since been actively searching for the suspect, purportedly intending to exact mob justice.
It is believed that the home was deliberately set on fire, but this could not be immediately confirmed.
