A silver VW Polo was salvaged from a ditch after the driver reportedly swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle near the entrance of Woodview in Phoenix – KZN yesterday (Friday) afternoon.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 20:42. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers located the vehicle lodged in a ditch along the embankment.
The driver stated that he had to take evasive action when another vehicle unexpectedly veered into his lane, forcing him to swerve off the road. This sudden manoeuvre caused the vehicle to lose control and descend the embankment.
No injuries were reported.
