N17 Emergency Response members responded to a wildfire on a farm near the old Rietfontein Mine.
After several hours of firefighting, the blaze was successfully extinguished.
Unfortunately, two Mine Rescue vehicles were destroyed by the fire. One patient was treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all members and emergency services who assisted during the incident. A special thank you to the local farmers for their invaluable support and assistance throughout the operation.
