A 42-year-old mother of five was seriously injured after she was stabbed six times during a domestic dispute in Redcliffe – KZN yesterday (Saturday) afternoon.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene and were informed by the seriously injured female that her ex-partner, who is the father of two of her children, visited his children at the home earlier in the day.
The woman’s current boyfriend arrived and found the man inside the house. After the ex-partner left, an argument broke out between the couple over his visit.
The victim reported that her intoxicated boyfriend turned violent during the confrontation. He produced a knife and repeatedly stabbed her in the chest, neck, and head before fleeing the scene.
She suffered severe blood loss.
Reaction Officers and bystanders assisted on the scene before she was transported privately to hospital for urgent medical care.
