At approximately 19:56 yesterday (Friday) evening, the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received a call from a motorist reporting an overturned vehicle on the R102 near Ottawa – KwaZulu-Natal.
Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and, on arrival, found a silver Renault Triber overturned on the yellow lane at the side of the roadway. The driver informed Officers that he is an E-Hailing driver and was transporting one (1) passenger when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.
The driver sustained minor head injuries but declined medical attention at the scene. The passenger did not sustain any injuries.
