A Black Mamba was captured inside a residential garage in Tongaat – KZN at approximately 17:00 today (Sunday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched after the Tongaat Operations Centre received a call from a resident in Burbreeze – KZN reporting the presence of a snake inside his garage.
On arrival, Reaction Officer Jordan Tarr met with the homeowner who had briefly sighted the snake before losing visual contact. A search of the garage was conducted and an approximately 1.8 metre Black Mamba was located within the premises. It was safely captured and transported to a dense bush area where it was released away from any residential properties.
This is the second Black Mamba captured by Tarr in Tongaat – KZN today.
