Pedestrian-Vehicle Accident

PVES responders and a practitioner attended the scene of a pedestrian-vehicle accident in Silverton.
Upon arrival, responders found the pedestrian in a critical condition. Immediate medical care was initiated, and a thorough assessment was conducted.
Assistance from an off-duty nurse who was present on scene was gratefully accepted and contributed to the patient’s care.
A Netcare Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP) arrived shortly thereafter and assumed primary clinical management. Advanced life support interventions were performed to stabilize the patient before transport.
A Gauteng Emergency Services ambulance subsequently arrived on scene, and the patient was transported to hospital under the care of the Netcare ECP and EMS personnel for further definitive treatment.
