A sixty-four (64) year old man was robbed of his bakkie after armed hijackers fired shots during a robbery in Tea Estate – KZN today (Friday, 24/07/2026).
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received multiple calls for assistance after the incident. Reaction Officers responding to a hijacking in Trenance Park – KZN were re-routed to the scene.
On arrival, Officers established that the victim had just dropped off a relative when he was confronted by two (2) armed suspects. The driver was forcefully removed from his vehicle before the suspects discharged two (2) rounds and fled the scene in the stolen bakkie.
The hijacked vehicle is a white Chevrolet Utility bearing Saw Sharpening branding and registration BZ 20 BS ZN. No injuries were reported.
