Stock Theft members followed up the information they received about a vehicle that is transporting goats at Mtyholo Location this afternoon.
They went to the village and saw the vehicle (white bantam) and when the suspects saw the Police vehicles one of them managed to run away. Police arrested two males aged 28 and 30 years, and recovered six goats to the value of more than R10 000.00. They will appear at Zwelitsha Magistrate Court on Thursday for Stock Theft.
The Acting Cluster Commander, Colonel Nomonde Mene thanked the community for sharing valuable information to the Police and that led to the recovery of goats and arrest of these suspects. “With the assistance of the community members we can fight stock theft in our policing precinct,” she added
