On Thursday, 17 February 2022 detectives of Organised Crime Investigations (OCI) arrested an alleged drug dealer, aged 41-years-old, in Orange Grove for possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R170 000.
A preliminary report suggests the detectives were out following up on information they have obtained on alleged drug dealing taking place in the area of Norwood.
The detectives identified the vehicle believed to be involved in the alleged drug dealing and conducted a search.
While conducting a search, the quick-witted detectives noticed a man running away from the police.
The man was successfully cornered and led the detectives to his room. Further investigation revealed that the suspect is in possession of various types of narcotics which include Crystal Meth, Mandrax, and Ecstasy.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
