A white Toyota Etios that was hijacked by four suspects was recovered in Amouti – KZN.
At approximately 21:23, a man arrived at Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Headquarters requesting assistance. He informed the controller on duty that he is employed as a driver for an E-Hailing company.
He explained that he was summoned to the Verulam CBD – KZN where he uplifted four men. While traveling in the direction of Osindisweni – KZN, his passengers produced knives and forced him to re-route to Cornubia where they dumped him on the roadside and sped off with his vehicle.
Reaction Officers contacted Tracker and activated the vehicle’s tracking device. Signals were emitted from Amouti – KZN. RUSA Members and Tracker Operations converged on the area and recovered the vehicle abandoned.
The victim was not injured.
