Members of Operation Shanela deployed to combat crime in Western Cape received information of drugs being stored at a premises in the Muizenberg area. The members applied for a warrant and conducted a search at the premises. This led to the seizure of a large quantity of drugs that was found on the premises. A 35-year-old male was arrested and detained at Muizenberg SAPS. Once charged he will make his court appearance at Muizenberg Magistrates’ court on the mentioned charge.
In an unrelated matter Harare police registered an armed robbery case on Sunday, 05 November 2023 following an incident at Ncinci Street, Harare. According to reports the victim was at home when two unknown males entered her house and took her cellphone, charger and an undisclosed amount of cash. They fled the premises on foot and shot and killed her dog on their way out.
The suspects aged 28 and 30 were later arrested and detained at Harare SAPS on charges of robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The two suspects appeared today 09 November 2023 in the Khayelitsha Magistrate’s court on the mentioned charges.
