Two suspects, aged 41 and 52, are expected to appear in the Wepener Magistrate’s Court following a successful intelligence-led operation that resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of dagga and live ammunition.
On Sunday, 21 December 2025, members of the Welkom Anti-Gang Unit and Selosesha K9 were conducting proactive patrols in the Wepener area. During the operation, the team arrested the suspects and confiscated 78 boxes of dagga and 9mm live rounds of ammunition.
