The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) Officers, in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies, arrested two suspects, a female and a male foreign national, for possession and dealing in illicit substances and possession of unlicensed firearms, in the Rondebult area.
Acting on information about a twenty-four (24) year-old female foreign national allegedly selling drugs from her residence, Officers proceeded to a residence on Feiye Street, where a search led to the recovery of 32 large logs of Kat with an estimated street value of R200,000 and one unlicensed firearm.
On same day, Officers also arrested a twenty-mine (29) year-old foreign national male suspect during a separate operation on Apollo Street. At the scene,Officers recovered x12 bags containing illegal substances, with an estimated street value of R5,000 along with one unlicensed firearm.
Both suspects were arrested and detained at Rondebult Police Station.They are expected to appear before the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
