PVES responders and a practitioner attended the scene of a hit-and-run motorbike accident in Equestria.
On arrival, the patient was found lying against a ClearVu fence, supporting his left arm and shoulder, and was in significant pain.
An IV line was established, and the patient was stabilised to allow for a more thorough assessment. It was suspected that the patient had sustained a shoulder dislocation with a possible associated fracture, which would require further investigation at a medical facility.
Gauteng Emergency Medical Services (GPG) were requested and subsequently arrived on scene to transport the patient to hospital for further care.
