PVES members responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles in Montana.
Upon arrival, both patients were assessed. The first patient, who had been seated on the side of impact, complained of severe shoulder pain and tenderness. The injured arm was immobilised while awaiting the arrival of ambulance services.
The second patient, who was the driver of one of the vehicles, complained of chest pain and tenderness to the back of the neck. The patient also appeared weak and was closely monitored on scene.
A GPG Response Vehicle (RV) and ambulance subsequently arrived, and both patients were reassessed. One patient was classified as a P2 and the other as a P3. Both were transported to medical facilities for further evaluation and treatment.
