A Toyota Yaris was successfully recovered following the theft of a motor vehicle outside Addington Hospital in the South Beach area of Durban on Wednesday afternoon.
KZN VIP members were alerted to the incident and immediately coordinated with tracking agents and other security stakeholders. The stolen vehicle was traced travelling in the direction of Ntuzuma, prompting a coordinated pursuit by KZN VIP members and tracking agents.
The vehicle was eventually recovered on Mbondwe Road in the Ntuzuma area. Unfortunately, the suspects managed to evade arrest after abandoning the vehicle before fleeing on foot.
Upon recovery, it was discovered that the vehicle had been partially stripped, with the suspects believed to have been attempting to remove the vehicle’s tracking devices.
