Efforts to remove unlicensed firearms from our streets yielded positive results when an intelligence-driven operation by the Anti-Gang Unit landed a 46-year-old male behind bars for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The suspect was arrested in Buttress Street, Tafelsig, Mitchell’s Plain on Wednesday, 23 February 2022. The members searched the premises and found a firearm and ammunition in the house.
Once charged the suspect will appear in Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate’s Court to face the charges against him.
