Earlier this morning, while on regular patrols in the Newholmes area, Mi7 Reaction Officers spotted a man in possession of a bicycle which matched the description of one stolen yesterday from a client’s property in Orient Heights.
The man claimed he had just purchased the bicycle from someone in the area. The seller is allegedly a known burglar in the area, and is believed to be linked to the housebreaking at the client’s property yesterday – in which three bicycles were stolen.
The client arrived and positively identified the stolen goods. The matter was handed over to the police for further investigation.
