A vehicle was extensively damaged following a car fire along Prince Umhlangane Road in the Effingham area of Durban during the evening of Thursday, 16 September 2025.
KZNVIP medics, together with the fire department and other emergency services, responded swiftly to the scene.
Upon arrival, KZNVIP responders found the vehicle well alight. Fortunately, the driver managed to escape unharmed, though the vehicle sustained severe fire damage.
The fire department acted promptly to extinguish the blaze, preventing further damage or injury. No additional vehicles or property were affected in the incident. All relevant emergency services were on scene and the situation was brought under control.
