A Malawian national was electrocuted while attempting an illegal power connection in Blackburn – KZN this afternoon (Monday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene following an emergency call from a member of the public at approximately 14:41. According to witnesses, the man was illegally connecting electricity from a main power line to his residence, situated about 50 metres away, when the fatal incident occurred.
Upon arrival, Reaction Officers confirmed the male had succumbed to his injuries.
