POLOKWANE – The Police in Mopani District recovered a stolen trailer and a three-phase diesel generator valued at approximately R200 000, and arrested a 33-year-old male suspect linked to a business robbery case that occurred at Bolobedu policing area during October 2025.
Members comprising the Mopani Tracking Team, Mopani Highway Patrol, and Mopani Infrastructure Detectives conducted operation in the Malamulele policing area, on Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
During the operation, members successfully recovered a trailer and a three-phase diesel generator, both believed to have been stolen during the Bolobedu business robbery incident.
Subsequently, on Thursday, 30 October 2025, at about 14:00, the same operational teams were patrolling around the Giyani policing area when they received information regarding the business robbery wanted suspect. Acting swiftly, the team traced and arrested the 33-year-old suspect in Malamulele CBD.
Upon investigation, the suspect was positively linked to the business robbery and led the team to the location where some of the stolen items at the business robbery case tracking device from the stolen items had been removed. Further follow-up operations were conducted, and the tracking device was recovered in bushes between Muswana and Nkuri villages.
The suspect will appear before the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court facing a charge of business robbery on Monday, 03 November 2025.
