This week, Santos Beach transforms into a world-class arena for spectators to enjoy the action at the UIPM Biathle, Triathle and Laser Run World Championships – a historic first for Mossel Bay!

⚠️ 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲: limited access restrictions will apply at Santos during the event. Beachgoers are still welcome to enjoy the beach at their leisure, outside of the demarcated areas: The Municipality apologises for any temporary inconvenience and thanks you for supporting this historic occasion.

• 📜 Council Resolution: Item E217-07/2025, read with E292-09/2025, approved hosting of the Championships.
• 📜 Section 26 – By-Law Relating to the Control of the Seashore and Sea: Permission granted for amplifying systems in the demarcated beach and parking areas, subject to conditions set by the
Municipal Manager.
• 📜 Section 31 – Mossel Bay Municipality By-Law Relating to Streets: Santos Beach parking area will be closed from 5 – 13 December 2025.
• 📜 Regulation 12 – Western Cape Noise Control Regulations (2013): Exemption granted for the duration of the event, subject to Municipal Manager conditions.

The Municipal Manager has been delegated powers to coordinate the event and impose any necessary conditions in terms of the Council Resolution.
