Cape Town Terminals hosted the Deputy Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME), Mr Seiso Mohai, and the Deputy Minister of Transport, Mr Mkhuleko Hlengwa, for an oversight visit as part of the broader Cape Town terminals programme.
The visit formed part of the government’s ongoing oversight responsibilities and aimed to provide insight into terminal operations, current performance, planned improvements, and the role of the Cape Town terminals ecosystem in supporting trade, economic activity, and job creation.
During the formal engagement, Cape Town Terminals Managing Executive, Earle Peters, presented key operational milestones, outlined projects in the pipeline, and highlighted strengthened collaboration with stakeholders to improve efficiency and support the Cape Town economy.
The programme also included a terminal tour, where delegates received a rooftop overview of the Cape Town Container Terminal and a drive-through of the terminal to observe operations first-hand and engage on opportunities to improve reliability, capacity, and overall terminal performance.
