On Sunday 22 March 2026 from 13:30, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Eastern Region Task Team Officers, recovered two (2) reported stolen vehicles, in the Leondale and Tsakane areas.
A lookout was dispatched about a vehicle reportedly stolen in the Brakpan area and the Officers followed up on the information. A white Isuzu bakkie, matching the description given was found abandoned on Luthando Street in Leondale. The vehicle was tested and found to be positively stolen in Brakpan area.
Later in the evening, Officers were given information about a reported white Toyota Quantum stolen, in the Tsakane area. The Officers went on a lookout and discovered a vehicle matching the description given. The vehicle was inspected and confirmed it was stolen earlier in the Tsakane area.
