The ongoing fight to curb the distribution of drugs in our communities led to the arrest of suspects for the possession of drugs.
Members of Operation Shanela II were conducting foot patrols in Hillview area to combat gang violence when they received information about drugs at an informal dwelling in Village Heights. The members proceeded to the address where they found a 47-year-old male. They searched the premises and found 45 mandrax tablets in the informal dwelling. The male was arrested for the possession of drugs.
The members searched another premises in Hillview where they found six mandrax tablets, ten half mandrax tablets, six units cocaine, 60 zenox tablets and an undisclosed amount of cash in the house. They arrested a 46-year-old female for dealing in drugs.
The suspects will make their respective court appearances in the Muizenberg Magistrates’ court on Monday, 4 May 2026. #DrugsOffTheStreets
