A red Hyundai S-Coupe with registration HSD 777 AH was discovered overturned near a riverbank on Buffelsdraai Road – KZN at approximately 08:39 this morning (Sunday, 24/05/2026).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from a member of the public reporting that a vehicle had overturned during the night. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched to investigate.
On arrival, Officers located the overturned vehicle adjacent to a riverbank after it apparently lost control and veered off the roadway.
A search of the car was conducted, however no occupants were found inside and it had been abandoned.
According to bystanders, the incident reportedly occurred overnight. The driver allegedly vacated the scene shortly after the crash and left the vehicle unattended.
